Virginia Wesleyan Pays Tribute to Veterans
The campus community honors military veterans this week. A military honor tree (above) adorned with colorful ribbons stands in the Jane P. Batten Student Center as a tribute to our troops and symbol of gratitude to those who serve.
On Friday, November 11, at 1:30 p.m., a Veterans Day ceremony on the campus lawn and memorial garden in front of the VWC Veterans Memorial Monument brings the community together to hear military veterans, all members of the staff and student body, share their experiences.

Marlin Prestige Business Conference November 14-18
This semester's conference, titled "A Networking Experience," includes the popular Shark Tank event. Speakers: Tony Lanuza and Chris Poeschl, The Brooklyn Baking Barons; Jerome Brinker, Associate Director of the ODU Center for Enterprise Innovation; Venetia Huffman '80, Vice President of Operations and Compliance for CVI; and Tony DiSilvestro, co-owner of the local franchise Ynot Pizza.
Virginia Wesleyan Receives Professional Grounds Management Society Award
Assistant Director of Physical Plant Operations Mike Rigby accepted the 2016 Green Star Award on behalf of VWC.
Baseball Field Named in Honor of Kenneth R. Perry
Upgrades to VWC baseball's Perry Field, thanks to generosity of longtime VWC benefactors Joan and Macon Brock, honor service and dedication of former Virginia Wesleyan Board member.
