Marlins Day Open House: February 2023

Prospective students and their families visited campus on February 18

Prospective students and their families visited ²Ê°ÔÍõÁùФ on February 18 for a look at life on campus during the University's winter Marlins Day Open House.

The day began with early bird tours of ²Ê°ÔÍõÁùФ's beautiful 300-acre campus, followed by a welcome session in the Goode Fine and Performing Arts Center with remarks from President Scott D. Miller and Vice President for Enrollment Heather Campbell '04. A panel session followed, featuring current ²Ê°ÔÍõÁùФ students addressing topics from campus life to academic support. Throughout the morning, visitors explored campus, met ²Ê°ÔÍõÁùФ faculty and staff, and learned about academic offerings, scholarships, residence life, dining services, the financial aid process and more. 

An Academic & Student Resource Fair took place in the Jane P. Batten Student Center, and  for the ²Ê°ÔÍõÁùФ fine and performing arts were held in the Watts Lobby of the Goode Fine and Performing Arts Center. Future Marlins also had the opportunity to enjoy lunch in Boyd Dining Center and watch ²Ê°ÔÍõÁùФ men’s lacrosse compete at Birdsong Field later in the day.

The next Marlins Day Open House is scheduled for Saturday, April 1, 2023.
